Discovery workshops

Working in an Agile environment with fortnightly sprints, we spent three months in the ‘discovery’ phase, scoping the updates between the existing ACTIS platform and the new ACTIS 2.0 platform.

Whiteboards filled with flowcharts, diagrams, post-it notes, and handwritten notes in red and blue ink, creating visual plans or processes.

Information Architecture and Wireframes

We carefully crafted every element, bring the most import content and actions to the forefront and removing what was unnecessary. Screen-by-screen we built low-fi wireframes, iterating and refining the user journeys and micro-interactions.

Wireframes of a project management or operations software interface, showing different pages including contract details, salvage information, work order, damage inspection, invoicing, customer contracts, and related data tables.

Prototypes and UI design

As each user journey became more and more defined, we began building a prototype of the entire platform, linking all the userflows for the different personas. Once the prototypes were approved and the Styleguides completed, we finalised the User Interface designs ready for DEV.

Styleguides

With the designers moving on to other contracts and the development taking further 12 months, these Styleguides became an important reference (design truth) for the DEV team in the build.
